The City of Cape Town South Africa,
Tours and Travel Guides

Cape Town South Africa, voted as number five of the top 50 tourist destinations world-wide, really deserves to feature on your "see before you die..." list.

Cape of Good Hope, Cape of Storms, Fairest Cape, Mother City or just The Cape are some of the names that are used to refer to Cape Town and the Cape Peninsula.

It gives you an idea of the many facets that make this city and its surrounds a tourist's paradise.

Situated in the south-west corner of the Western Cape province in South Africa, it is the most southern city of the African continent.

The heart of Cape Town can be found right in the north of the Cape Peninsula. Featuring a flat top of more than 1,000 m (3,300 ft) high and flanked by its two sentinels Lion's Head and Devil's Peak, Table Mountain makes a stunning background for the City Bowl. Often a thin layer cloud cover settles itself on top of the mountain, looking like a table cloth on the flat top of Table Mountain.
