The West Coast National Park accommodation
facilities offer a nice variety of options, from family get-togethers and romantic hideaways to
lodgings for groups and corporate think tanks.
You can opt for a romantic houseboat on the turquoise lagoon, or move into a private chalet or
cottage amidst beautiful scenery.
Details of the various accommodations options are as follows:
ABRAHAMS KRAAL
This fully equipped (linen, cutlery and crockery) self-catering six bed cottage is to be found
near the Abrahams kraal waterhole and comprises the following:
2 En suite bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other one with 2 single beds and 2
pullout beds.
An open plan living area and kitchen.
A fireplace in the living area to utilize either as braai or fireplace.
A stove, geysers and a fridge-freezer combination, which are all gas operated.
Electricity is generated by solar energy, there are no points or plugs for electronic
equipment.
Pets, loud music or portable generators are not allowed in the Park.
This lovely fully equipped (crockery, cutlery and linen) six bed self-catering cottage lies
near Churchhaven, a short walk away from the Lagoon. It comprises the Following:
Three en-suite bedrooms, each with toilet and shower.
The main bedroom has a double bed, the second one has two single beds and the third is a
children's room with two pullout beds (sleeps four).
An open plan living area and kitchen.
Braai facilities are available on the front stoep (looking out on the Lagoon).
A kitchen with fitted cupboards gas stove and fridge and a serving/eating counter with utensils
and stools.
A lounge with a table and four lounge chairs, together with jetmaster heating.
Electricity is generated by solar energy, there are no plugs or points for electronic
equipment.
Able to accommodate up to 62 people or more (by arrangement), these dormitory type units are
meant for community groups and school groups and comprise the following:
Ablution facilities.
Showers with hot and cold water.
Kitchen with gas stove, microwave, freezer and refrigerator (bring your own crockery and
cutlery).
Braai facilities.
Dormitory type sleeping facilities (bring own bedding).

HOUSEBOATS
Houseboats are permanently moored accommodations floating on the azure waters of the lagoon.
So you do not need any boating experience. They are exclusive and romantic hideaways, either
fully catered or self-catering.
There are two of them. The one is a luxurious double story boat that can accommodate up to 24
people. Ideal for family getaways, functions, special occasions and corporate groups, comprising:
9 bedrooms, 2 lounges, 4 bathrooms, 2 kitchens and plenty of deck space on both levels. The other
one is a cosy and romantic fully equipped small houseboat with two bedrooms and accommodation for
up to six people. Perfect for a fun filled family stay or an intimate getaway for couples, young
and old.
